Dream porch

Has it really been 2 months since I found something for my house of dreams? No. But it has been 2 months since I decided to post it.

I found it on design sponge, natch.

AND OH MY GOSH. If I could move there this very instant, I would. And apparently the woman that lives there once saw the house and vowed that one day she would move to Charleston and buy it, and then SHE DID. I love that.

A screened porch is basically all I want from life. And if it could be painted blue--DAYUM.

Kate Spade is my best friend

Can you BELIEVE this dress? It is killing me. I can't believe how awesome it is. And it has sleeves! It's completely Mormon appropriate! I love it I love it I love it. Plus, I love this adorable ad. Geniuses. I just love stripes in general. And especially these candy shop ones. Let's find more pictures of this dress.

In other news, I have started a charity. It's called Help Erin to Own This Dress, and you just give me money, and then I buy the dress. It's a really simple idea, but those are the best kind, I think.

I need to have a baby and buy some blue paint ASAP

I found this on House of Turquoise. And she got it from Lay Baby Lay.

And I CANNOT get this color scheme out of my head. I want my entire house to follow some variation of this grey, coral, and aqua sceme with touches of black and white. I LOVE IT.

BLUE!

Would you LOOK at that couch? That could just be your bed! The wall color is exactly what I want to happen in my house.

I would move here as is (minus the seashell on the side table)

It came from The Glam Lamb.

This is really just so beautiful. I love big family rooms with lots of seating. I love the idea of inviting lots of people over and all of them having a place to sit. I would love to someday not have to pull out folding chairs and stuff for parties, but to just already have adequate seating. Plus I LOVE this color scheme. I really love calming rooms.

This looks like a temple waiting room, even. It's just so bright and calm and beautiful. I really love it.

Like I said though, I would ditch the seashell on the side table. I'm really not into beachy things at ALL. I hardly even like the beach that much in real life. Why would I want to bring it to my house? Plus it just seems sort of tacky sometimes. Unless you can SEE the beach from your house, I don't think beach things have any place in your home. And maybe from this house you can. I'm not one to judge that. Because I've never been to this house, so I really have no idea.

The other thing I can see is that if you truly love the ocean so much that you can't bear to live somewhere with no reminders of it--fine. Incorporate some beachiness into your house. But for peeps like me, who go there maybe once a year, and have fun for like half an hour before they start complaining about the amount of sand in their swimsuit? No seashells for you.

Orange

This room from Elle Decor seriously made my jaw drop. Look at the shelving! You could put books on those, or rotate through collections of vases or dishes, or just leave them blank and they would look like stripes on a wall, which I love. I really love that.
